Hello Jesus! Recording artist Lisa McClendon's rendition of “Just another day that the Lord has kept me” forever rings and resonates in my spirit. Truly it is another day I intentionally strive to be thankful.
"Intentionally" in that we often have to put forth effort – some days more than others due to being physically tired. This is not a complain,t but an acknowledgment of where I am in the present. Lord, so thankful you’re always open to heartfelt conversations in addition to laughs.
I feel good in mind, body and soul, so all is well with me and prayerful it’s like wise with you.
Are you resolved to be focused? How about being present? Are you able to think in the now? Are we effective in our daily tasks and living and if not, why? Many of these questions are being raised along with continued prayer requests in this specific regard. Here is the encouragement in all of this: People are coming into the realization they are in need of help, guidance and direction. This affirms we are no longer in denial of where we are in the present state and indeed desire resources, tips and ways to increase in this particular area. Well, I have good news: you are not alone. Would it make you feel better knowing much of the entire world has this problem?
A general statement was conveyed yesterday while meeting with a nonprofit organization. It was said “I can’t focus, can’t think straight. As a matter of fact, I’m trying to communicate a point and am all over the place. My mind is just running! Please pray that I be focused.” I quickly blurted out "That’s why I have a Life Coach!" Someone else said "A Life Coach?" I said yes. I further stated that I am not just a Life Coach to the artistic community, but I too have a coach for myself. I continued on…I have so much on my plate; so many ideas; so many opportunities; so many jobs, so many personal concerns....it’s hard for me to focus. The great thing is that I’m a doer and am able to get things done. For me personally, I do not want to be labeled as just getting things done BUT it is important for me to know I that I am effective. Then someone said "Can you be my Life Coach?" I laughed because it wasn’t the time to have this specific conversation but, to my surprise, it made me feel good knowing there is an interest and that people are willing to invest in a Life Coach (i.e. in areas beneficial to their health and well-being). I whispered under my breath, "Thank you Lord Jesus, for affirming me once again”. I love it when encouragement comes at inopportune times. You know, when you didn’t ask for it or wasn’t looking for it, nevertheless it’s right on time.
In case you didn't know, there are several ways a Life Coach can assist in your pursuit in being focused and present.
A life coach:
Why not invest in your mental wholeness and health? You are important! Your mind is important! Your health is important! Your well-being is important. Try something different. There's the saying “if you do the same thing, you get the same results.” If this is true, what’s stopping you from doing something different hereby obtaining results you’ve never encountered and or experienced? This is one time you have everything to gain.
Lastly, if you decide to invest in a Life Coach, ensure the energy and synergy is right for you. Ensure there’s a connection. I encourage you to be open. I also encourage you to know the difference between being challenged verses wrong fit. Because our state of mind is always rush-rush, hurry-hurry and our mind is all over the place, we often take offense to much of what is said to us when, in fact, the statement 9 times out of 10 has nothing to do with you. Please remove this mind frame. Go in with the right intentions and motives and believe me when I say your inner conscience and senses will not let you down. Your instincts will confirm if your connection is a right fit. Make sure you do your homework and conduct research on whatever entity or business you connect with. Finally, do not forget to pray. The Lord says “you have not because you ask not”. In addition, the Lord also says “if we believe, that you shall receive, you shall have”.
Be at peace and let’s strive to be focused and present.
